Rainbow

There's a rainbow in my ceiling,
But you're not here to see it,
There's a song, our song, playing on my tape,
But you're not here to hear it.

There's a scar in my heart,
The size of the moon,
But you're not here to heal it,
There's a rapture in my stomach,
And it's calling your name,
But you're not here to fill it.

There's a smell in my room, of bodies in heat,
But you're not here to share it,
There's a hope in my life, that will not die,
And you're no longer here to spoil it.

There's a soul inside of me,
But you will not get to feel it,
There's a heart beating, pounding in my chest,
But I won't let you near it.
